THE GROUNDS

The gardens, lawns, and veranda of the historic house of the French Legation Museum are available for weddings, meetings, parties, reunions, fundraisers, picnics, and other events. The Grounds feature two and a half beautifully landscaped acres. Click Here for a detailed view.

The Carriage House Loft is an interior space for small parties of up to forty people. The space is accessible through one flight of exterior stairs and is climate-controlled. Restroom facilities and loft kitchenette are included in all rentals.

The veranda of the museum’s historic house, adjacent to the formal garden, is a particularly lovely site for wedding ceremonies and presentations. Please note that there are strict guidelines for use of the veranda; the interiors of the historic French Legation house and other museum structures cannot be used.

PARKING

Accessible parking is available in an adjoining parking lot at the intersection of E. 9th Street and Embassy Drive. There is ample public parking on the streets adjacent to the Museum.

AVAILABLILITY

Outdoor events may be held at any time except during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Grounds must be vacated by 11 p.m. Loft rentals may be held at any time, including regular Museum hours. Loft must be vacated by 11 p.m. Some exceptions apply; please speak with Museum staff for details.
