The Robertson family used this front room as the master bedroom, however when built, this room was intended as a public space. The two front rooms of the house open onto the central halls with double doors, suggesting double parlors. The mantles in both front rooms have mantles with decorative details while the back rooms, the private rooms were left without ornamentation.
